Sissy Spacek
Scissors
2x7-inch, gatefold cover
Helicopter
H 94
20th anniversary edition of Sissy Spacek's second album, first reissue since it's original release, this time as a double 7-inch in a deluxe gatefold cover. An incomprehensible, discombobulated wreck.
"This four-track explosion of sound had my jaw agape from the first note to the last. With minor percussive breaks between sizzling hard-wired damage, this wasn’t at all what I expected. Instead John Wiese has offered tracks that intensely re-align your senses for their fifteen minutes of “insane”. It’s not until we get to the final track “Please Don’t Sleep While We Explain” that the wash of colorful collision is tempered and muffled to conclusion. It’s a scream-fest with fire to spare. Not for the weak hearted." —TJ Norris

Pushed play for the Giant Scorpion-Killing-Red State-Gumby-Dog People, but continued listening for the unhinged, psychedelic, country-western, cactus-flavoured, sound-looping, Zappaesque weirdness and apparent lack of conventional awareness that this is not how accessible music is made. I'm odd that way. KAT

Very few albums have pushed the boundaries of what music can be as much as Dyers’ Hands. Harsh noise, dark ambient, musique concrete, and eeire haunting strings all come together for what is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest experimental albums ever made. Beneath The Salt is a masterpiece and really showcases how so many abstract styles can coexist in a single piece. Pedestrian Deposit should be so proud of this phenomenal recording of finely crafted sounds! 𝕄ꌦꌚ✞ỉር Ⓜᗩ爪𝕭ꋬ
